ABOUT ACTION GYMNASTICS
Action Gymnastics is located in Forest Park. We’re passionate about finding the best balance for your child between athletics and academics. We offer several options from training several days a week to tailoring a schedule that allows for variety in your child’s activities. We even offer Sunday options!
Our recreational gymnastics program allows athletes to master skills and gain confidence on each apparatus while they progress through the levels.
Our recreational cheer tumbling program provides a solid foundation of strength, flexibility and basics necessary to train through the most advanced tumbling and jumps.
Our competitive program offers USAG Levels 2-10 and XCEL. Our competitive gymnasts have had countless successes at both USAG and IHSA competitions at the local, state, regional and national levels. We allow team members to compete both IHSA and USAG provided they follow the proper rules and procedures to do so. We also sponsor individuals whose high schools do not have a team.

Action Gymnastics provides expert level training programs in both recreational and competitive gymnastics and tumbling for cheer! Our team of coaches is USAG certified and has made Action Gymnastics a challenging environment where athletes develop the skills and confidence to succeed both in and out of the gym. JODY RAYMOND
Jody has extensive experience both as a coach and an athlete. He competed for Nebraska and ISU and has a passion for implementing the latest techniques and training methods and tailoring the needs of each athlete to help them succeed.
ADRIAN SIAW
Adrian has been coaching both recreational and competitive gymnastics for over 10 years. He has expertise in both gymnastics and competitive cheerleading. He was 3rd on floor at the IHSA State Finals and went on to do stunt and trampoline work.
ERICA WOLF
Erica has coached gymnastics for over 25 years. In addition to coaching the competitive team, she facilitates the process for gymnasts who wish to compete as individuals and represent their school if their high school does not have a team.
JEANINE SCHMIDT
Jeanine is one of our choreographers. She has extensive experience in both gymnastics and cheerleading choreography. She can choreograph floor and beam routines for USAG levels 6-10, XCEL Silver though Diamond, and IHSA Varsity and JV gymnasts. She can also choreograph cheer routines.

SKYLOR HILGER
Skylor was the first ever state qualifier and finalist for Shepard High School where she finished 6th on floor. Skylor also competed as a USAG Level 9. In college, she capitalized on her talent in softball and became a member of the DePaul softball team.
MADDIE NOWAK
Maddie competed for Hinsdale South High School where she was a state finalist on multiple events including 2nd on beam, 3rd on bars and 4th on vault. Maddie was also a USAG Level 10 where she was an alternate for JO Nationals. She went on to compete for UIC.
KELSY KURFIRST
Kelsy competed for Lyons Township High School where she won the IHSA state finals on bars and floor and was 2nd in the all around. She also competed USAG Level 10 and was a state and regional qualifier before moving on to compete for Cornell University where she was the team captain.
ABBY CARLSON
Abby competed for Downers Grove South High School where she placed 2nd on floor at the IHSA state finals. She competed USAG Level 9 before joining the Gamma Phi Circus at Illinois State. Abby is also one of our choreographers.
KAYLA CARLSON
Kayla competed for Downers Grove South High School where she was an IHSA state finalist on floor. She also competed USAG Level 9 where she won bars at regionals and was 2nd on vault at Easterns. Kayla went on to compete for the club team at University of Alabama where she was the club president.
